Pythagoras: We've all known about this guy since our primary school math classes, but I think he deserves a “Very Short Introduction” book all by himself. The book reviewed here is 'The Philosophy of Science' by Samir Okasha and narrated by Peter Ganim. Just checked it out on Amazon UK, where I procure most of my reading in science and philosophy. Our presentation was basically a brief introduction to mathematics related to games. Okasha's Philosophy of Science: A very short introduction is, so far, the best introduction to the philosophy of science out there. Ganim's narration gives a strong impression of authority being low pitched with clear articulation. Not surprisingly, ethical issues have drawn the most scholarly debate within the field.
